3d Carving Basic Technique 05

Hello this is Part 5 of 3d carving basic modeling. Enjoy...!


1. Start from Create panel > Geometry > create Cylinder ( Heigh segment=1, cap segment=2, sides=10) > Then Convert to Editable Poly


2. With "Polygon" selection, select side of cylinder > delete


3. with "Edge" Selection > Select edges ( use "Ring" to quick selection ) > Right Click > Connect


4. Still using "Edge" selection > Select some edges ( use "Loop" to quick selection ) > then pull forward


 5. "Edge" Selection > Extrude Edges ( select Edges +Shift+Drag)


6. Use "Vertex" selection > select some vertex ( see the Picture ) > Right click> Connect


7. select 2 Edges on top > Right click > remove , then select 2 edges on the bottom > delete ( click on your keyboard)


8. Adding more line, using "Cut" ( use Vertex selection)


9. Extrude Edges using "edge" selection+shift+drag > then select some edges > pull forward ( see the picture)


10. Extrude Edges

11. Extrude Edges using "border" selection> pull backward ( shift+drag)


 12. Use NURMS subdivision, Iterations=2 to get smooth result. thank you...!
